Importing video

Fri Aug 05, 2011 4:42 pm
I have started a new project and need to import video files that I transferred from my other computer.
They are .mov files with corresponding .dv files (about 7 .dv files to 1 .mov file). Also, the .dv files are substantially shorter than the .mov file. I am not sure why the .dv files are even there. When I try to import the .mov, the only thing I receive is multicolored static with occasional frame that I am trying to see. What should I do to obtain my proper footage?

Maybe the .mov is only a clip that references .dv files. Not many Linux tools support that AFAIK. You can just load the .dv files directly.
