I start a new project, add a clip, move the clip to the timeline for editing, and then when I press play the time marker doesn't move. I went into the settings and deselected and then reselected the autoscroll while playing option, but it still doesn't work. What am I doing wrong?

Don't worry. You're not alone. I've already issued a bug report.

The bad part is, it worked just fine yesterday!

Mine did too, but I updated Kdenlive this afternoon and then it stopped working. If you didn't update, that's scary!

Ok, I tried to install an older version, but I am a complete noob and apparently borderline retarded. Is there possibly a DEB file somewhere I could download of an older version so that I don't have to mess with the whole "cmake ..", "sudo make install" stuff? Everytime I try that I just get a string of errors. I fixed several of them, but they just kepp on a-comin'. So is there a deb file anywhere or some other easier way?

Please?
