Removing Haze from video

Fri Apr 19, 2013 1:40 am
Hello Team,

Is there any way to remove haze from video (like histogram leveller etc..) in KDENLIVE? Some of my videos came out really hazy and I did not have filters in my camera while capturing video :(. Please let me know if this is already discussed so that I can refer them

Thanks and Regards,
Nandakumar

What do you mean by haze exactly? Is it shot out of focus?

Hello ttguy,

The video is not shot out of focus. It has come bit of smoky due to hot sun and reflections. Is there any way to correct it like we do for pictures using color level adjustments?

No ideas here. You could play with effects in the Colour Correction group I guess http://userbase.kde.org/Kdenlive/Manual/Effects/Colour_Correction

Hello ttguy,

Thanks for link. That was the one I was looking for. Will give a try for Levels.
