I hesitated to open a bug since I am actually not sure if I do something wrong here.
I use kdenlive - right now in version 0.9.6 - on Arch Linux x86_64. Recently we got an update from mlt 0.8.8 to 0.9.0. Since then I run into some problems. From what I can say now is that Title Clips do not work anymore. I can create new Title Clips in a new project but I cannot drag them in a video track. kdenlive states "Clip not ready". Now if I open a project which I created with mlt 0.8.8 I can use the Title Clips - i.e. I can drag them in the timeline - however they are usually completely empty (just sometimes they seem to show some random artifacts like a totally stretched and rotated image) when displayed in the monitor and after rendering. Now again I hesitated to open a bug report since mlt 0.9.0 seems to contain a lot of changes and I am not even sure if kdenlive 0.9.6 is supposed to work with it. Or maybe I just have to delete some of my configuration files of kdenlive to make it work with the new mlt version? (No success on that so far) It's also the possibility that the package maintainers of Arch somehow messed this up. But since they scream "Upstream bug - not our problem" all the time I want to check back on you first to see if someone knows about this and if not, I'll bug the guys over at the Arch bugtracker, probably check the git version of kdenlive, see if that changes... Thing is - the possibilities ar eendless and right now I just don't want to mess up too much and too long since I need kdenlive on a daily basis. I thank you. |
