Is it at all possible to create a movie consisting of a *.webm clip downloaded from YT and an audio file ?

Previous version of kdenlive at least displayed the movie in the project monitor window although the quality was ****. Current version 0.9 - gives me an empty screen + when I click the play button in the project monitor nothing happens for about 30 seconds and then i can hear the audio.
