Hi. I have tried searching for an answer but the documentation says if I select a clip in the timeline, I can just press delete and the selected clip will be removed. But that doesn't work. Also, Ctrl-Click brings up a menu that doesn't have the remove clip option*. So how do I remove a clip from the timeline?
I'm running 0.9.2 on a Mac. All help appreciated. * the options available are: Clip in Project Tree Group Clips Ungroup Clips Split Audio Set Audio Reference Align Audio to Reference Cut Clip Copy Paste Effects Markers Add Transition Add Effect |

Try "cut clip" - it will pollute the clipboard, but should remove the clip at least.

Unfortunately, cut clip doesn't cut to the clipboard. instead, it is the same as scissors (splitting the clip into two at the current time).

I am a Mac guy, currently using a 2011 13" Macbook Pro...also using Kdenlive 0.9.2 installed with Macports. You delete a clip by selecting it (click on it, it gets a red border) and using the fn - delete combination. The fn is the key on the lower left side of the keyboard.
There are a lot of things I don't understand about Kdenlive, but I am discovering them one by one! |
