Missing Tabs[solved]

Sun Mar 10, 2013 1:24 pm
I am using Kdenlive 0.9.4 for Ubuntu. I am running Linux Mint 13 Cinnamon (I assume Ubintu Precise version is the one for me).

Problem is, my version of Kdenlive is missing the tabs that I see in all of the instructional videos for the product. The tabs I'm talking about are the ones just below the Project Tree area. they are project Tree, Effects, and transitions.

I don't have these tabs. Why?

I'd include a screenshot but not sure how on this forum.

Can anyone help?

In the View menu tick the boxes against the palletes you want, they will appear in the interface, you can then float a palette by clicking the small icon next to the X in the top right corner of each palette, the icon looks like a square overlapping a square, then grab the floating palette and drop it over another to make it a tabbed one again. You can customize your kdenlive interface like that, then save it by going back to the View menu and click Save Layout.
