Best rendering option.

Tue May 14, 2013 12:13 pm
Hey,
The videos from my action cam are in 720p @ 60fps, and in .MOV format.

what is the best option for rendering them and keeping their quality (which is really nice!) There are so many options, and I don't really know which one is best. So far I've been using MPEG2, but its not quite as crisp.

Thoughts ?
Thanks,
Tim

For viewing from fast media and best quality you could render to lossless in a matroshka container. This will give you huge files, but best quality.

For sharing your videos in the web you might want to give h.264 a try. I guess the default bitrates should do quite well, h.264 gives very good results even with lower bitrates (and thus smaller files).
