Hi:
While playing (messing) around with the different views in Kdenlive, I lost the tabs below the video window that select if I'm monitoring a clip or the project. How do I bring them back? My Kdenlive version is 0.9.6 and my OS is Ubuntu 12.04. Thanks. wp

ttguy: Thanks for answering. In the area of the manual that you are directing me I couldn't find the solution to my problem. Maybe I'm not looking too well, or I didn't communicate my problem too well. In the screen layout (default), there are like small areas assigned to different views: project tree, project notes, Effects, transitions, etc, and below them there are tabs for you to select which one are you working with. Same thing with clip view and Project view screens. While I was trying a different layout (selecting and/or deselecting some view using the view menu), the tabs that I'm talking about disappeared and now I can't have one space allocated for clip/project monitor, selected by tabs. Same problem with Transitions/Effects, and with Project Tree/Notes. The tabs for selecting them within the same space disappeared. If I select each one of them from the menu, they appear on different spaces (I get one separate space for clip monitor and another space for project monitor, etc.). If there's an answer for this in the manual, will appreciate to direct me to the corresponding pages. Thanks. wp |

Hi:
Found out the solution for the disappearing tabs! It's a drag and drop trick while moving the views that you want to show in the screen. If you drag the view sideways, it creates an additional workspace (left or right) for the view. If you drag vertically (up or down) a good distance, it creates a workspace above or below the existing. If you drag down a small amount it creates a tab for the view within the same workspace as the existing. I discovered this by sheer luck! These tricks should be explained in the manual! wp |

"These tricks should be explained in the manual!"
I don't get what you are talking about really. But you should feel free to generate some screen shots and add this info to the manual. It is a Wiki based manual so you can edit it !!!! |
