Hi
In order to remove unnecessary pauses, I've used the 'cut' tool to remove sections of an imported clip. Now I want to join the remaining sections back together, so that when I apply filters etc., they get applied to the whole (edited) clip. Making them into a group doesn't work. Is it possible to glue clips back together again so that they are treated as one clip? Thanks |

This would be very handy, I hope there is someone who know how to do this.

By holding the SHIFT button and the left mouse button you can select more clips and then move them around.
You can also apply an effect to all the clips together in the same way. |

Little known is Kdenlive's ability to apply effects to a track as a whole instead of only clips. Simply click in the track head on the left of the tracks view. Don't click into a track's title though. Then double click on an effect from the effects list. It will be added to the track and a star will appear next to a track's title. The effect magazine will now read effects for track blabla. You can still apply effects to individual clips, both work in parallel.
Also, please notice that you can ctrl-c copy a clip and then paste only its effects on another clip. You'll find an item in the context menu when you right click on a clip in the time line. It should be named paste effects or something similar. |
