I am new to kdenlive and tried to use it to edit a large avi file. I added the avi clip and started a job to find the scenes in this avi. Halfway through the clip (after 30 minutes or so), kdenlive suddenly crashes.

How to fix this problem? How to find more information in order to solve this problem? Is it a kdenlive problem? Does the avi have corrupt frames?

Can you produce a trace when KdenLive crashes?

Please describe the actual steps you take to produce the error. Try to reproduce the error with a smaller AVI file.
