I'm running Ubuntu 13.10 and I tried to add the PPA as per the instruction of the installation page. However when I run apt-get update, it gives me a 404 not found on the kdenlive repository. I've heard rumours that Kdelive is no longer maintained, does this have any tie in to that? Thanks for any help. Chris

kdenlive is maintained, but there has been a pause in development last year. In the past weeks there have been several commits to the source code.
You have added the experimental sunab repository for your update. Although this repo is very often referred to, I believe it is more private than an official kdenlive repo. It seems, as if sunab does not maintain it at the moment. You can try to get kdenlive from the official ubuntu repos. |

Do you consider a two week old MLT repo version obsolete? And the repo abandoned? Then I'm too lame for this world. This is what sunab's kdenlive-svn repo says. No sign of demise.

I'm just saying what I've heard, plus the fact that I'm still getting a 404 from the official repos and they download page isn't up-to-date isn't the best of signs. Don't get me wrong, I love kdenlive, but it's still got some way to go.

If you just click on this part of your repo link, you will see that saucy is not supported :>
http://ppa.launchpad.net/sunab/kdenlive ... ntu/dists/ If you want the very latest saucy release try here:> https://launchpad.net/~sunab/+archive/kdenlive-svn Follow the instructions and all should be ok. Don't worry too much about the 'BEWARE' statement, I've been using this for a few years. Cheers. |

Missed that the OP is using the release ppa. The svn ppa works on saucy, as you said.
