I've been editing a video, I made using my camera.

Importing and editing the clips went ok, but when I render to a .avi file, it is not the same, as I have in the project.

Namely, text of title clips is not appearing (especially non-black text) and for some fragments, the speedup I set is ignored.

Is this a common problem? Am I missing something?

I doubt this is a common problem. Unfortunately you have missed to post your OS (if ubuntu or derivate: which installation repository), kdenlive version, the codec of the source clips, project settings and render profile. Helping you currently turns into wild guessing.
