Add clip to timeline, apply speed effect (not equal than 100%) and BOOM...

I was thinking, that my ubuntu (13.10) installation was corrupt, so I installed ubuntu 14.04 Final Beta today, but nothing changes.
Kdenlive installed from sunab ppa. Also I tried to run kdenlive daily build, but it crashes with error about filters.

UPDATE:
When clip already added select Menu View->Waveform

I am not sure if this is related.

Since some recent update from sunab, kdenlive crashes for me already when adding a clip to the project. I used kdenlive on 12th March and then it was still working fine (also the speed effect). I downgraded to sunab releases from 18th March but it also crashed, and there seem to be no older releases.

So I uninstalled kdenlive and mlt, disabled the sunab ppa and installed the old 0.9.6 from saucy, that one works.

Hope there will be a new release on sunab soon.

Update: Bug reported http://www.kdenlive.org/mantis/view.php?id=3250

Just upgraded to:
kdenlive (0.9.7+git20140330.13bffadb-0ubuntu0~sunab~trusty2)
mlt (0.9.1+git20140329.6f8293d5-0ubuntu0~sunab~trusty5)
movit (1.1+git20140330.8a7bc428-0ubuntu0~sunab~trusty2)

Kdenlive crashes on Menu->View->Waveform, but it is not crashing on speed effect when I set 'XVideo' playback settings.
But it does not show video in project monitor:

Maybe some codecs missing or smth?

I have reinstalled Ubuntu 14.04 again and installed kdenlive 0.9.6.
Speed effect does not work and kdenlive crashes if OS regional format is another than English (US) (If Numbers is dot seperated (1.234.567,89) not comma (1,234,567.89))

I believe, that this problem also exist on 0.9.7. I will try.

Strange. I am running on 13.10, and both 0.9.6 and 0.9.7 from sunab are working fine with de_DE locale (also using dot as thousands separator and comma as decimal separator).

Also the speed effect is working.

Let me know if I can try to reproduce something on my setup.

I mean Number format settings.

Does not working
From Ubuntu settings -> Language support -> Regional formats -> Lithuanian (or Lietuviu)

Working (0.9.6)
Language support -> Regional formats -> English (US)

I cant get 0.9.7 to work. If I download daily build - it crashes with error about filters. If I install it from sunab svn - it doesnt show even waveform (from menu).

Sunab 0.9.7 crashes for me as well when I select "View -> Waveform". I never use it, first I thought it is the same as "Timeline -> Show audio thumbnails".

I suppose it is a bug that we should report. Are you going to do it?

I reported this bug http://www.kdenlive.org/mantis/view.php?id=3255 but I think there already are quite some related/duplicate ones like the one you found.
