Hi there

I would like to create an anamorph project in Kdenlive. I actually have a normal 16:9 HD footage, but I would like to cut off the bottom and the top to create a cinema like anamorph format (2.35 : 1)

I created a new profile with a size of: 1920 : 816. This works. But the importet clips are centered and have a black border left and right. I would rather have them cropped off top and bottom. So they will fit to the with in full. Is there a possibility to define this in the profile?

Or: Is it possible, when having a HD 1080 profile and while rendering cropping of the top and bottom to create a clip with the size of 1920 : 816?

You can add a pan/zoom or a crop effect to a whole video track to do so. But it's not a project profile option.
