Hi
I revived a friends Power Mac G5 this weekend by installing Debian Jessie on it. I wasn't expecting KDEnlive to work but it seems it does, albeit with a few bugs. The most notable one I've encountered in my brief testing so far occurs when you play a clip (h264/MP4) in the clip preview window. If you let the clip run through to the end, some nasty sounding audio gets output and the noise continues until you preview the same clip again, play another clip or quit KDEnlive. The workaround is to try to avoid watching clips all the way through and pause them before they reach the end but it goes withot saying thats quite inconvenient so I'm hoping someone can suggest a better (potential) fix? I realise we could be the only people running KDEnlive 0.9.8 under Linux PPC! Thanks! |

I've seen the same problem under Ubuntu 14.04 x86_64.
Hit the stop/play button to silence the noise. |

This bug occurs with OpenSUSE too. So it's probably a kdenlive bug which should be reported on the bug tracker.
The true bravery is to do what is fair.
