Add clip after clip by hitting "v"

Sun Dec 28, 2014 1:13 pm
Is it possible to jump the timelineposition to the end of the timeline after hitting "v" so that after hitting "v" again the clips will be edited after another instead of on top of each other??
I have tons of clips, and I just want to be able to set "i" "o" and add to the end of the timeline with "v". I really don't want to do it with drag and drop, as my wrist is going to kill me....
Anything I missed? Some secret setting or another workflow?
thx

To cut a clip (in/out points) and insert it at the end of the previous clip in the timeline only using the keyboard I suggest the following:

  • In the clip monitor select the IN and OUT points with i and o.
  • INSERT in the timeline with v.
  • In the timeline move the cursor to the end of the clip with the end key.
  • Set the IN point in the timeline to the current position of the cursor with i.
  • Switch to the clip monitor with t.

Cheers,

Thanks, I will give that a try when I am home.
Is there any reason it doesn't add to the end automatically? I would expect this to be the default behaviour...

cheers

You can make a shortcut for this.
It's called "Insert zone in timeline".
