Hi!

I wanted to transfer a project of mine from kdenlive to Adobe Premiere, so I went on google and tried to figure out a way to create an EDL file from a kdenlive project. I found KdenParse (https://kdenlive.org/forum/announcing-k ... ther-stuff). I tried using it, but no luck.
I ran the script and got the text output. I then copied it and saved it as a .edl file. I don't know if that's all that you need to do or if there are any other steps. Premiere did recognize the file, but it didn't import the entire sequence, only one track.

If you can help me I'd be very thankful.

Since kdelive files are based on mlt format files I googled "mlt to edl" and found mlt2edl - https://eyeframeconverter.wordpress.com/mlt2edl/
Which apparently is based on the Kdenparse python script by Will Riley.

Might be worth a shot.

I also note that "add EDL import and export" is on the to do list for the mlt project http://www.mltframework.org/bin/view/MLT/ToDo
I would guess that if mlt got this feature kdenlive would have it soon after.

First of all, thank you for helping, but it doesn't seem to work for .kdenlive files. I tried it but I got the error:

"Not a file we can work with..."

Do you have any idea of how I could try to make it work?

You could try to create a .mlt file of your project by choosing "Generate Script" from the Render dialog.

It will create a .sh script in location you choose. And it will also create a .mlt file in that same location.

You could try pointing the KdenParse to that .mlt file
