Render formats

Tue Jun 30, 2015 11:47 am
Hello everyone ^-^
I recently started using kdenlive and I noticed that in each tutorial I've seen so far (the most recent one is of february 2014) they have a lot of formats in the render panel while I have only a few. If it may be useful I use manjaro.
This are the formats that I see others have

While I only have this

They got all those formats with a fresh install while I got just those I showed you. Is there any way I can also get them? :(

What you are seeing here is the difference between two different versions of Kdenlive. 0.9.10 vs 0.9.8 or lower

see https://userbase.kde.org/Kdenlive/Manua ... enu/Render

The profiles were simplified with 0.9.10 and they introduced Variable Bit rate encoding. Which is very nice.

If you want to create your own then it is very easy - you use "property presets" delivered by the melt project see https://userbase.kde.org/Kdenlive/Manua ... Parameters

/usr/share/mlt/presets/consumer/avformat/ will have a list that you can choose from.
