When I try to render the render process stops without explanations (Kdenlive keeps running).
I'm on Archlinux 64bit. Kdenlive 15.04.3. KDE Frameworks 5.12.0 In the terminal I see these messages (I tried rendering twice).
Anything I can do to help debug this? |

That terminal output is of no use.
Try rendering to a different format and/or let the process run overnight. You can also use 'top' to see if 'mlt', which is spawned by Kdenlive while rendering, is doing anything. |

Thanks for your reply.
I guess I did not make it clear in my post: the rendering crashes instantly, for all formats, as soon as I press render. If the terminal output is of no use, anything else that may help? |

I see...I thought it was hanging up and not responding.
The render screen allows you to create a script that you can run from the command line. Do that and report back w/ the output from the script. I suspect that something is not installed correctly. |

See here for instructions on creating and running render scripts.

Ah now I see. I tried running just melt from the command line and it crashes for some reason.
If I switch to bash I get
So I guess I have to find out why melt is crashing. |

Try reinstalling MLT and/or downloading/building the latest version from MLT's website.
