I use kdenlive irregularly - just having come back to it for a batch of editing.
Somehow I have lost the knack of showing/creating keyframes for a pan/zoom effect. I have the Effect Stack which has fields for Clip Left, Clip Right ... etc, and the effect is on the timeline. But how do I bring up the tool to show and add keyframes? I am using Version 15.04.2 and am obviously missing something very basic here. So basic I have not yet found it on google. My thanks. |

Thanks but I had already checked that video out. He resizes the effects window by dragging it's edge left to expose the controls.
I can't find that drag point. I can drag the project monitor window but not the effects window. |

You mean you can't access the effect controls? What happens when you select the clip in the timeline, then click on the "Effect stack" in the Effects window? The controls should appear when you roll down the Pan and Zoom effect there.

If I could work out how to insert an image I could show you. The effects stack for Crop,Scale and Position appears and has a vertical list of parameters like Clip left, Clip right etc., along with parameter values for each. In the video that’s the window he drags to the left. I just cannot find that drag point ... or I need another way to get to the same point where I can insert and control keyframes.

Looking at your screenshot, I think I see what the problem is: you selected the "Crop, scale and position" effect. Could you try the "Pan and zoom" effect instead?

sent, thank you.
Thought it might be something to do with the video and sound tracks being grouped ... but it's not that. |

Found it: Crop, Scale and Position does not allow keyframes. Pan and Zoom does.
Thanks anyway. |
