I am new to kdenlive and trying to create my first video. Is there a parameter to regulate the speed at which frames move through Clip Monitor and Project Monitor?? Sometime they go by too fast for me to see what is happening. I found the "single frame" parameter (Main Menu>Monitor>Forward 1 Frame) and "play 1 second" (Main Menu>Monitor>Forward 1 Second), but these don't give smooth motion.
Any help appreciated...

Hi, you can navigate through the timeline by the keys or menu entries you mentioned. You also can drag the timeline cursor with the mouse. Usually I set the timeline cursor to the point I want to view and then press Space to start playback in realtime. You may also want to check out the J, K and L key for further navigation.

capslock,
Thank you very much for responding. I am a noob and have many questions on simple things, since I have never done video editing before, let alone used kdenlive. I will follow your directions.
