Apparently the effect is being used to trick YouTube's automatic copyrighted video material recognizer. I'm surprised it's not getting caught via the audio.

Anyways, you can eliminate such a static glow or lens flare effect by taking a screenshot of the first frame (which at least in this case has black background), layering it on top of the film and using a difference or grain extract transition.

However this will remove a lot of the films' color spectrum. Might be still more enjoyable than the lens flare version though.

It is getting caught in Canada. But in Australia they let it through. Quite strange.

My advice to andreverbiesten - rent the bloody DVD ! Is it it worth the pain of undoing this glow effect to get a poor quality copy of this movie ?
