See the other post in this same subforum about MXF issues. These seem to be in Ffmpeg or somehow related. Maybe that is the problem you are seeing? Then it may be not a Kdenlive problem but instead in Ffmpeg or MLT.
Or it may be the MLT thread issue: how many MLT threads did you configure in Kdenlive? On my fast Core i7 only 1 thread works reliable. Note that I'm not talking about rendering threads, but MLT threads for Kdenlive itself. |

hello TheDiveO yes i see other issues for MXF.. i will check about threads, because i set 4 threads.. i will try 1thread ok.. i did test other TEST: i try SHOTCUT (MLT) i try with my MXF, result PERFECT works in timeline of shotcut, like as fluid..not problem. maybe is problem from kdenlive 15.12..? a moment.. MAYBE I UNDERSTAND WHAT IS PROBLEM!!! then my job office i installed kdenlive 0.9.8 ---update>>> 0.9.10: with ffmpeg old version 2.7.x worked as perfect but i checked to SHOTCUT, result they used ffmpeg is old see: Shotcut.app> cd bin/
version of MLT
then is problem for ffmpeg and not MLT, but problem also KDENLIVE 15.12 because i cant to use kdenlive 15.12 WITH ffmpeg old 2.7.x...can fix it for old ffmpeg?

A quick check with the ffmpeg git repo indicates that 2.8 is the official current. However, there are newer versions, yet not considered official. I found it the easiest way to compile all MLT, ffmpeg, and Kdenlive from sources directly from the respective repositories. This way, I'm bypassing all the trouble I've had in the past with packagers messing up the A/V packages more often than not. While it is slightly more hassle, I highly recommend to not install your self-compiled stuff into /usr/local because that may cause all kind of package dependency problems. Instead, install somewhere into your $HOME. You'll find extensive instructions here: https://community.kde.org/Kdenlive/Development/KF5 -- make sure to pay attention to the discussion page that contains additional information.
Caveat: I don't know whether ffmpeg already contains a fix for the MXF issue as this seems to have been found only recently. |

then i find resolved but is not fixed, i find the trick:
to use proxy clip before that input the file video.. this is good trick for moment. but there is true problem (serious) to render out, see my topic open: viewtopic.php?f=272&t=130231 this is true problem for my jobs, i have many files format MXF for my jobs (announcement like as breaking news, project EU, DVD-VIDEO production) for moment i use to continue with kdenlive 0.9.10 worked for all my MXF render out. but for kdenlive 15.12 render out is bad.. like as video is high speed... 3 months ago, i was update of ffmpeg from 2.7.x to 2.8.x WITH KDENLIVE 0.9.10 is render out: bad like as the video is high speed..(example: 4x or 8x) so i did return the version of ffmpeg: from 2.8.x to 2.7.x, render out: perfect, the video is normal speed (example: 1x) so i think kdenlive 15.12 with ffmpeg 2.8. is problem for high speed.. instead other reason: shotcut (mlt) uses with ffmpeg 2.7.x (build-in)...so why shotcut does not use with ffmpeg latest version as 2.8.x? (i write in my topic is open, there are details information, go to see my topic: viewtopic.php?f=272&t=130231 thank you.. |
