Hi all,
I've a rather large kdenlive project that started in 15.08 or so and is now 16.12 (edit: typo indeed, I mean 16.01, getting 15.12.1 seems rather difficult on Ubuntu 15.10). Most effects and stuff works well but I've a problem with the proxy files. They're currently sort of enabled (and used) but the box (when right clicking on the clips in project bin) to enable/disable them is grayed out. The properties also show some weird data like 0x0 for frame size. When changing the name of one of the proxy files (in the proxy directory), kdenlive asks on startup whether it should remake that proxy file. No new file is created however. When I changed the name back (saved and restarted the .kdenlive file), the proxy also didn't get recognized by kdenlive and the box stays grayed out. The rendering is also done with the proxy files – with no option to disable them in the advanced render options. In new projects, proxy files seem to work correctly – so it seems the proxy problem slipped in with a conversion from project file versions. As this is a rather large project (45min, 13clips or so, dual camera) , I would like to fix this somehow without overdoing the editing. A possible solution might be to change some settings in the project file with a text editor, but I don't really know how? Update: the project file can be found here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ofuea9zamw8hldp/Alias_12.kdenlive?dl=0.

16.12 is probably a typo, did you mean 15.12? Are you on 15.12.0? If so, can you upgrade to 15.12.1? It contains some bugfixes, I remember at least one concerning rendering with proxies instead of original clips.
Alas, did you try to clean up all proxies from the project settings/properties dialog? This removes all proxy clips and switches off proxies, so you should be able to get to a clean state. From that you may enable proxies again, and then create proxies as necessary. This is my usual way when I mess around with proxy creation profiles... |

This worked! For some reason, proxies were turned off in the project settings menu . |
