kdenlive faster with SSD?

Sat Apr 30, 2016 7:32 pm
Hi,
has somebody here experiences with SSD harddisk? Is work in the timeline much faster
after kdenlive is started? Is rendering much faster? - I think not, I assume the processor
and sufficient RAM is far more important, right?

thx

Imho every i/o is much smoother/faster with a SSD.
Power Consumption is lower. And there is silence.
My first experience was like - wooooooow :)
But you are right, CPU, RAM and Mainboard must fit too.
If you look back, the CPU Clock hasn´t changed much. 10 years ago I had 3,2Ghz, now I got 800 up to 3,6Ghz but a Quadcore and many more features.
If you like to know where to find the bootleneck at your system, you should give some more Information about your Hardware.
Maybe it is the Harddrive, maybe the CPU or the Mainboard. Nobody could tell without the possibilty to compare.
