I got a very strange behavior with Kdenlive Version 15.12.3 @ Kubuntu 16.10
KDE Frameworks 5.18.0
Qt 5.5.1 (built against 5.5.1)
The xcb windowing system

I did try to import an Image Sequence with 1 frame per image, but Kdenlive changes the clip duration to its maximum with 15000 frames. I´ve changed the Duration in the configuration menu but with no effect. Here is an Image how it looks like:
Image

The Duration of each Image is at 15000!

I´m using Kdenlive about 8 years, would say I know older Versions of Kdenlive very well and have now a fresh install. I changed from Linux Mint to Kubuntu. Beside some Plasma Problems KDE Environment is stable. Right now, I have no Idea how to fix this problem. Thanks for any thoughts what might cause this behavior.

hi, can you please check the 'automatically import image sequences' box in that configuration dialogue as well?
It should be displaying them as a single file in the project bin rather than as individual TIFs. Strange.

There are two ways to import an image sequence in Kdenlive:
'Add image sequence'
or
'Add clip', then navigate to the folder, and with the 'import image sequence' option checked, select the first image, then OK.

Does this behaviour occur with both methods?

Hi thanks for your suggestions.
Until now, I tryed to purge and reinstall Kdenlive with no luck.

Yes, I did. The result is the same, no matter if box is checked or not.

I´ve used Kdenlive in Linux Mint 17 and older Versions of Ubuntu, but always have had a bunch of images. I never would have thought there would be another possibility :/

'Add image sequence'

After Double/Triple Check I found "Add Slideshow clip" never used that before.
I guess you mean "Add Slideshow Clip". This works for me as an Image Sequence, and yes - this Import gives me a better result. It seems to work. The Bug is still present for drag n drop but now I´ve got a way to work with kdenlive.

'Add clip', then navigate to the folder, and with the 'import image sequence' option checked, select the first image, then OK.

I did tried that as well. Bad result.

In the past I´ve used drag n drop with complete folders oder single images. Until 15.10 everything was fine. With Ubuntu 16.04 KDE, has caused some trouble for me. Not all worked, out of the box, as intended. :(

Thanks for your help, I hope I will find a solution for drag n drop in the future. Would make things easier.

OK, well I'm glad there is a workaround for now.

Although not critical, it would still be useful if you could file a bug report so that it goes on the to-do list.
