Hi,

Using Version 15.12.3. I want to narrate - to watch a clip and while watching add audio via a mic.

They say I need to use the "Record Monitor" control(?) But I cannot find this anywhere on any toolbar or window.

Where is recored monitor? How do I narrate?

Check this thread, easily found with searching for "record monitor kdenlive". Did you try that?

If that does not help you, please provide more information: which desktop environment, what is the output when starting kdenlive from a console.

This is an old thread but I've spent hours this afternoon looking for a solution to the same problem.

The screen should apparently look this this https://s5.postimg.org/bsu0162vb/Kdenli ... ebcam2.jpg with a third monitor button for Record.

What I see is what is (strangely enough) shown here on a help page - https://userbase.kde.org/File:Kdenlive_ ... onitor.png - the page mentions the Record Monitor but it doesn't appear on the photos.

I've read about themes and have tried all the solutions I can find on other messages about the same problem but still have not managed to solve the problem.

Any help gratefully received.

Recording stuff is now in Clip Monitor, press the "+" sign in the button row.

Hello I am using WIndows 10 and Kdenlive 19.12.3 and don't have "+" sign in the button row
