Hi,
I was trying to find anything about availability or plans to include colour management in Kdenlive. I searched these forums as well as roadmap pages (https://kdenlive.org/roadmap and https://community.kde.org/Kdenlive/Roadmap). It seems like this functionality is currently missing. Having a large gamut display with all other essential applications color-managed, I would consider such functionality important and worth including. Lately I was creating a number of slideshow videos from my photographs. The monitor preview in Kdenlive is significantly over-saturated compared to viewing the same images in Gimp or Eye of Gnome image viewer. This suggests that the default ICC profile I have setup for my monitor in desktop settings, is not used by Kdenlive. My workaround for now is to watch the final rendered video using a colour-managed video player (mpv). However it would be great to have the colours accurate in the Kdenlive monitor output too. Cheers, Tomas |
