making "sub cllips" in kdenlive

Wed Aug 10, 2016 8:31 am
I remember kdenlive has/had this insanely useful feature , where you could set the in and out point of a video clip and then having the range appearing in the project bin . Is this still existing? and what would be the shortcut for it? Thanks :)

I've also just been going mad trying to find this function/key shortcut, so very glad to find this post.
I notice that it is known in the Keyboard shortcuts window as 'Insert Zone in Project Bin'. I was hunting for something called 'subclip' or virtual clip.
Thanks for the post!

Thank you!

I've been swearing for ages that Kdenlive doesn't have subclips.
Turns out it does. Hidden in a shortcut. Not present in any menu...

The "magic functions" you find under the menu Monitor.
