I've marked a zone I'd like to extract in a Mp4 file. I click extract zone and it says "failed to create file." This is weird because yesterday I was extracting zones just fine. Having all kinds of issues with kdenlive today... I've tried restarting my computer.

I've installed and reinstalled kden live. Didn't fix it. I've tried different mp4. Can't extract zones from them either.

give us more info like what system, which version of kdenlive etc...

Sorry about that. It's kden live version 16.08.0 on kaOS Linux. Hardware I'm using is a i3-6100 with intregrated graphics, 256GB M.2SSD, and 8Gb ram.

In settings, configure kgen live, environment, mlt environment, should I have any directories for FFMPEG, FFPlay, etc? Because they are all blank

Edit: It will extract frames just fine

Edit2: Going to settings, run config wizard, gives me the message "Fatal Error. Your MLT installation cannot be found" Could this have something to do with it?

Fixed problem by putting in directory to MLT profile....
