Ubuntu 16.10. I had installed the newest version of Kdenlive, but the video and sound stutter and pop while editing so I uninstalled and went back to the previous version , but it will not start. I get this message in Terminal:

qrc:/qml/kdenliveclipmonitor.qml:2:1: module "QtQuick.Controls.Styles" is not installed
qrc:/qml/kdenliveclipmonitor.qml:1:1: module "QtQuick.Controls" is not installed
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

UPDATE, 30 seconds after posting question.

As I was writing this I thought why don't I install "QtQuick.Controls.Styles" and "QtQuick.Controls" from the command line and it now works, so there you go.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kdenlive/kdenlive-stable
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install kdenlive
