Hello,

I am trying to use the new version of Kdenlive, the 16.08.2 at my Linux Mint 18 MATE.

i usually create custom profiles for my GoPro Hero records. Now, I create it but I can't apply to my project.

I can't find an updated manual. So, How to create and apply custom profiles in the new version?

Thanks a lot

Hello,

I found a solution:
Preferences -> Configure Kdenlive -> Misc -> Check if first added clip matches project profile (checked)

Now, when I add a new clip, kdenlive create automatically a new profile that match with it. i think it is a perfect solution.

In Kdenlive 16.12 you will be able to download and install render profiles, wipes and title templates from the interface. You'll also be able to share your custom profiles. ;)

I cannot seem to use my new profile I created.

Project > Project Seetings.

Resolution > (Gives about 5 standards, so I pick Custom)

Details >
Frame Size > 176x144 (this is way too small).

I'm trying to use a profile for a popular 360* VR Camera

Here's a link to the screenshot because this forum software sucks and can't even link images this large

For any future googler's (seems to be ranked highly),

My problem:
Want to change an existing project's output video size to match a clip 992x773.

Solution:
1. save project, close, then create new project.
2. import the clip you want, you'll see: 'No profile found matching 992x773, create and switch to new profile' select Yes.
3. close project, reopen the first project.
4. goto: project > project settings > settings tab > custom > 992x773 will be there now!!!

Project is now the same resolution, aspect-ratio as the clip.

Seems to be the easiest solution I can find. It's also convenient to use an image as clip to create a new profile.

Cheers,
Ben
