I don't know if we have those stats, since many users install it via their distro repositories. Just out of curiosity, why do you want to know that?

hi FRAID

why do you want to know that?
because this is important for public show, also my friends dont know about kdenlive for edit video, so i need the good evidence, testimony, the quality software, also i need to show our partner EU (european) "a proclamation", we used kdenlive..for to promote to use kdenlive..

so i need stats, result past and present..this is missed..
i think you fraid or/and/with other friends developer, for to show the result evolve from past and present..(infographic, line trend, down or up)
good idea for open day (linux day)

Even if such information were obtainable, I don't see how the number of 'downloads' itself provides validation of the quality of the software. And you'd compare the figures with what? Seems to me that you'd be better off searching for some (fairly recent) glowing reviews or testimonials that you could quote. And if your friends don't know about KDenLive surely it's simply a matter of you telling them and enthusing about your experience.

Here's a few favourable reviews I just picked up from a cursory web-search:

https://itsfoss.com/best-video-editing-software-linux/
http://www.networkworld.com/article/287 ... o-use.html
http://www.provideocoalition.com/the-be ... -software/

That type of thing. Surely that's what your 'European Partner' would be more impressed with, if that is the objective. And maybe a video portfolio of your own work highlighting what KDenLive can do, that maybe the competition can't. And now of course there is is the Windows port of KdenLive, so you could emphasize the cross-platform flexibility aspect also. In essence 'sell it' yourself.
