I'm trying to render something like Letterbox video, in resolution 1920x800. I created a profile with this numbers, having frame rate 25, pixel aspect ratio 1/1 and display aspect ratio 12/5. It is rendered successfully and the output video metadata show this correct resolution, however, playing it in Totem or VLC results in having both vertical and horizontal black bars around the video, while the thumbnail in Nautilus is rendered in a correct ratio.

This says avprobe about the output video:
Code: Select all
h264 (High), yuv420p(tv, bt709/unknown/bt709), 1920x800 [SAR 1:1 DAR 12:5], 25 fps, 25 tbr, 1k tbn, 50 tbc (default)

Avprobe data about a Matrix movie from internet seem to be very similar, but it is played correctly in both players:
Code: Select all
h264 (High) (avc1 / 0x31637661), yuv420p, 1920x800 [SAR 1:1 DAR 12:5], 1850 kb/s, 23.98 fps, 23.98 tbr, 96k tbn, 47.95 tbc (default)

At last, this is the own profile I used: Image
