Custom output size?

Fri Feb 17, 2017 3:17 pm
Hi, I'm making a background video for a website masthead - 1920x760 px.

I'm using KDEnlive 16.12.2 w/ MLT 6.5.0

The obvious place seemed to be Project -> Project Settings -> Resolution -> Custom. But the Details section is read-only at 640x480 (for 30fps). Changing the fps gives other options, but non are 1920x760.

Rendering in KDEnlive, then cropping with ffmpeg was my second approach but ffmpeg inflated the file 300+%. `ffmpeg -i untitled.mp4 -filter:v "crop=1920:760:0:0" masthead.mp4`

How can I create a small 1920x760 video with KDEnlive?

UPDATE: There is a little button next to Resolution for Profiles. I made a new profile, but don't see how to apply it to the current project.
UPDATE2: I was able to set the profile as default, then make a new project. My project was trivial, so recreating it took 2 minutes. This seems like a UX bug.
