Hello people! Running Kdenlive here on Linux Mint. There's one annoying problem that's slowing me down - the text and tooltip colors for the user interface in Kdenlive are very much not optimal. It's almost impossible to read and I often am forced to click buttons by trial-and-error as I cannot see the text on them. For example, see the title properties panel in the attached screen capture. So, any way to change the interface colors?

Do other KDE applications look normal? Seems to be a problem with KDE on other desktop environments problem.
Maybe this thread helps you out: viewtopic.php?f=265&t=135987&start=15#p365618

My vision in my eyes have really gone downhill in the past year, so and I too have difficulty seeing small print on paper or electronic.

I think you're complaining more about the size of the menus and not the colours.

So, if you're using GNOME 3 you can activate the "Large Text" option in the Accessibility settings that'll make Kdenlive and other software more bearable.

You could also try out Qt5ctl applet which is supposed to allow you to scale the software menus larger or smaller to your liking.

Kdenlive 17.12.3 MLT 6.4.1, Qt 5.6.2
Fedora 27 GNOME 3.26

I was able to resolve the problem by changing the color scheme for my Mint OS (Menu > Preferences > Appearance). Apparently Kdenlive simply doesn't get along well with the default "Mint-Y" color scheme. I like to think it was time for a new look anyway. All OK now. Compare the new look below:

I had to use Mint-Y-Dark (Mint 18.3) in order to get a good help text color scheme.
