required permissions problem

Thu Mar 23, 2017 1:59 pm
I m running kdenlive 17.3 on manjaro and i have a permissions problem:

starting kdenlive it tells me: Document project folder is invalid, using system default folders

and when opening a project, it also cant access the project defined kdenlive folders and falls back saying:

the project directory could not be created.
Please make sure you have the required permissions.
Defaulting to system folders

although all the partitions are mounted and i use them with all the other programs ...

any idea what this could be? kdenlive related or system related ?

What is the output if you run KDEnlive from the terminal?
I am using KDEnlive git on neon/Ubuntu, not having any issues. So this might not be a bug.

Hi, I'm Ivan, a competent computer user (which means geek to most). I run KDE neon Developer when it works and KDE neon User when Developer doesn't work.
Hope I helped you with any problems you may have had :)
