Window Layout not recalled in Ubuntu-Gnome

I have a new installation of Ubuntu-Gnome 16.04 but it seems that Kdenlive is not recalling the saved window layout with projects.
I can save and load preset layouts OK but my layout is not recalled when i reopen a project. Can anyone help or advise? |
