Sorry won't be available anymore today.
I'm not using communication apps (to now)...

I realize debug output on windows doesn't go to the console, rather you should install "debugview" to see the text messages Kdenlive writes...
On linux it is simpler :-)

Oh I see the space in your Kdenlive installation path is not properly handled in the .bat file generation! (bug from my part, sorry).
Please try to remove the " (2)" in the folder name...

I have to go, good luck, will check later.

Maybe try also to get help on IRC: freenode, #kdenlive channel (not so much activity, but who knows)...

Yes, you are right. We removed the space from the folder's name. It is better now.

We had an idea: make small videos from the photos, and use them in the project.

It seems to work!
We keep on trying...

Windows collapsed. We have deleted all Kdenlive related files and reinstalled the programme. It seems that if we do this, from time to time, the old programme will render the project.

We are working on it now.

Thanks for being with us!

Hello!

So, spaces removed from names, Windows cleared, Kdenlive reinstalled, all photos replaced with videos (made from the photo)... And, yes! The project is RENDERED!

First time on the Windows! Success.

However, the sound is full of noises, little cracks.
Any idea how may the sound be kept noiseless, good quality?
We try to change the sound on the rendered video by the original one...

Thanks for staying with us.

Hello,

Yes, we have made it! The video is ready an it is on YouTube now:

https://youtu.be/36Z-JO7tfQ0

Our experience:

There are moments when Kdenlive would not take any new picture, and does strange things.
SOLUTION:
Clear up all files, reinstall Kdenlive

Photos work well in the preview, however, they do not render at all.
SOLUTION:
Make short video from picture and insert this video.

There is noise in the generated video.
SOLUTION:
Make a new project with the ready video without sound and the music file. When these two components are mixed, the result is good.

It all happened in Windows 10.

Thanks Vpinon, thanks Kdenlive.

Greetings,

Tamás

i just made an account to write here.
Hi guys!

I installed Kdenlive and it grew to me. I didn't remembered much about Premiere from collage. Kdenlive has all that I need and kinda stuck with me. So it has to work, especially since I will one day migrate to Linux (Autocad / DWG keeps me shackled to Windows).

This is the only page I found about the issue of blank images after render. It has to work like it's suppose to. Making short videos is not elegant nor efficient ...
It's been 1,5 years now ... hope you guys are still working on it. I can post the script log once I get home.

God bless you! And many thanks!

EDIT: I did some tests and I knew many open source projects try to forcefully "detox" us of propriatary software and formats we got accustomed with... and decided to test if it's an issue related to some sort of open source format exclusive image codec that Kdenlive uses.
it seems that *.PNG did rendered in my composition. Only the *.JPEGs turned out blank.... (png is open source version of bmp)
Welcome to the open source worlds guys... noble but intransigent...
