Hi there.
I'm not the only one having issues with the recent (20)17 AppImages so I did a quick search where to find the old stable 16.12 release:
https://download.kde.org/stable/kdenlive/16.12/linux/

Maybe you should provide such a download until the issues with the latest version are fixed.

I tried 17.01.1b and it can't export/render videos into other formats. 16.12 works fine.

what "other formats"?
h264/265 codecs may be disabled due to patent issues, but the free webm format is compatible with all video platforms...
this works with latest 17.04 images, am I wrong?
