Can't import clips from secondary HDD

Hey,
I have an SSD installed as C:// on my Windows PC and a secondary HDD as D://. Today I installed the kdenlive beta in D://programs/kdenlive/. Looked fine, a few apps/icons were missing, but generally I was looking forward togetting started with it. Buut then I tried to import clips from D://.../videos, and it didn't work.

Why? The file open dialog does give me the options "C ():", and "D (Volume):". "C ():" is my user directory, I can't get to the root folder there. "D (Volume):" is the installation directory of kdenlive. I can not get into any root directory or generally anything above these two. I did run kdenlive as admin. Any ideas?
