Did you add the "progetto dvd fine anno 2015-16.kdenlive" file to the file list for your dvd? If so, remove it, it is not an mpg file matching the dvd standards.
If that does not help, please provide more information: Which kdenlive version, what are you trying to do with what kind of input files? |

Thanks. Now when I try to create a .vob file to use in creating dvd, it crashes again.
What's wrong now? Maybe the clips format? |

Yeah, the clips format seems to be bad, audio seems to make problems. Did you create the clips with kdenlive? Or do you want to use kdenlive as a DVD authoring tool?

I've used kdenlive to mount a music essay of my school from different cameras (with different video formats). Now I'm going to do the dvd for parents.

So schould I convert some video clip formats? The formats I used are: .MPG .MTS .mp4. Which of these is wrong?

DVD is based on standardized video formats. As DVD is a quite old standard it uses MPEG-2 video encoding. So, you will have to either transcode all the clips into the correct DVD format (most of DVD authoring software offer this feature) or you create them with kdenlive.
If you choose kdenlive, first create a new project with DVD settings. Then add your raw clips to the project. Now you can trim the clips in the clip monitor and drag them to the timeline. Maybe you want to add some transitions or effects. Finally you render your project to a VOB file - there is a render target for DVD in the render menu. The render result should be a correct formated file for use in the DVD authoring software of your choice (e.g. kdenlive). For more information about project profiles, render profiles, timeline, effects and all the other stuff, see: https://userbase.kde.org/Kdenlive/Manual |

DVD authoring needs VOB format:
- MPEG2 video codec with constrained bitrate, PAL/NTSC resolution & framerate... - MP2 or AC3 video codec - MPEG-PS container (multiplexer) I don't remember if there an adequate "transcode" option in Kdenlive bin context menu, else transcoding with "ffmpeg -i yourvideo.anything -target pal-dvd yourvideo.vob" should be ok (not on my personal computer to check). Good luck! Vincent |
