Anybody has tried this before? Theoretically Lightworks can import xml files (i guess only from final cut )
but would there be a chance to do this?

I just renamed a .kdenlive file with .xml and tried to import but got an error message only...

for me it would be helpful to edit in kdenlive, and transfer for colorgrading etc to lightworks or things like that...

thanks!

Hello,
XML is just a markup format, the content can be as different as texts in English & Chinese... No chance to get it to work simply.
Shotcut has a EDL export that we should adapt sooner or later, I believe this is the best bet for video project exchange.
However effects & parameters will probably be very different from one app to the other...
Cheers,
Vincent

Hej,

thanks for your answer,

I managed to import my kdenlive session into shotcut and export to EDL,

but importing this on lightworks failed, as i expected ;)

yeah it would be cool to have some kind of an exchange format adapted in kdenlive, also maybe to do basic exchange to DAWs....
