HI
I just discovered kdenlive tool and have been using kino since Ubuntu 10.10 . Does Kdenlive 15.18.0 that comes in Official Ubuntu Apps repository supports Firewire capture mode? There is no Video Capture mode/Menu in kdenlive tab but there is firewire configuration menu for grabing video via firewire using dvgrab . When i launch kino its perfect grabing video via firewire ? What I did so far ? 1. Removed the Official Ubuntu PPA version ? 2. Installed kdenlive from kdenlive.org ( V17.04.1 ) https://kdenlive.org/download/ 3 Removed 2. and reinstalled 1. Looks like the official repository on Ubuntu seems to have FW Capure settings but does not work. Installing from kdenlive.org seems to remove all firewire settings ? Just need to know if kdenlive 15.x onwards no longer support Firewire capture so i can stop trouble shooting . Much appreciated don Current System Ubuntu 16.04 LTS ( HP Elitebook 8460p ) orcanet@hp8460p:~$ uname -a Linux hp8460p 4.4.0-83-generic #106-Ubuntu SMP Mon Jun 26 17:54:43 UTC 2017 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux orcanet@hp8460p:~$ DV Camera : SONY DCR-PC110E ( Firewire DV IN/OUT ) the following messages when turning on the Video Camera on VCR or Live mode [ 5885.738058] firewire_core 0000:23:00.0: IRM has link off, making local node (ffc0) root [ 5885.738063] firewire_core 0000:23:00.0: phy config: new root=ffc0, gap_count=5 [ 5886.301096] firewire_core 0000:23:00.0: phy config: new root=ffc1, gap_count=5 [ 5889.324416] firewire_core 0000:23:00.0: created device fw1: GUID 0800460102948b7e, S100 Ubuntu Package list orcanet@hp8460p:~$ dpkg -l|grep kden ii kdenlive 4:15.12.3-0ubuntu1 amd64 non-linear video editor ii kdenlive-data 4:15.12.3-0ubuntu1 all non-linear video editor (data files) orcanet@hp8460p:~$ |
