Running 16.08.2 on Knoppix 7.7.1. I tried to reduce the size of the Timeline header area by dragging to the left. Instead of resizing, the header area disappeared! I have looked in vain for a way to restore the header area. Restarting Kdenlive with no project does not solve the problem - the header area seems permanently gone! Help!

Wow, I guess no one wants to try this. You may end up in limbo land like me! I really need to get this resolved.

Delete the kdenliverc file, which will reset Kdenlive to the default layout. I don't know where it is located in Knoppix, but you should be able to search for it.

Configure Kdenlive > Defaults Button might do the trick

Setting the Defaults didn't clear the problem but deleting the kdenliverc file did the trick. Thank you crodgers!
