ah just opened another thread before seeing this here,

same problem, installed, and i get

qt5ct: using qt5ct plugin
Cannot mix incompatible Qt library (version 0x50800) with this library (version 0x50901)
Aborted (core dumped)

not sure if git is the problem or what it could be...

installed? you mean decompress "Kdenlive-17.08.0-w64.7z" ?
the 7z with precompiled binaries works for me.. no QT errors... just is very unstable (hangs just adding an MP3)

Under 'Settings' > 'Configure Kdenlive' > 'Environment' (MLT Environment tab) - make sure the folder locations are correct for the version of Kdenlive you are running. If you have downloaded different versions, you will need to update the folder locations to reflect the current folder Kdenlive is in.

Kdenlive-17.08.0-w64.7z for Windows isn’t available on the download page anymore. Is there a reason for that?

i requested that to developers to avoid issues with an unstable release... this can just damage general app public image.

here a temporary link to the unstable version (hangs when adding an MP3) : https://mega.nz/#!pcJHQYpL!a1c2p45gxzxZ ... b8oDxWiRaI

Thanks. So I wait until the version 17.08 is stable. Kdenlive-17.04.3 works very well on Win 7 and 10.

News about building front:
For every Kdenlive release I usually upgrade all dependencies too, to get the latest fixes from other projects...
However, FFmpeg 3.3 dropped SDL1 support (that we used for audio output), and MLT was not ready for SDL2.
MLT author is currently working hard to get everything working in Linux/Mac/Windows, still not yet finalized.
I will soon build Kdenlive 17.08.1 with FFmpeg 3.2.
I also took time trying to get a backtrace tool working on Windows, as it is difficult to figure out what's going on without it... but still not ready for the moment (I would like to update DrKonqi, KDE tool for that, but Windows port was abandoned for years). I will go on without for 17.8.1, hoping to have something ready next month... I'll do my best, nothing promised :)

Hi, just downloaded the Windows version from https://kdenlive.org/download/ and found that it is a 64-bit version so I can't use it because I have Win7 32-bit. Can the developers make that note on the download page so others like me won't be disappointed?

I did find a note on https://userbase.kde.org/Kdenlive/Manua ... on#Windows and it recommends using a virtualized Linux distribution but it points to http://www.kdenlive.org/forum/kdenlive-windows which is a dead link. That should be updated too.

Think I'll get the latest Ubuntu; have played with earlier versions before (but not installed).
