I'm trying to recreate something like what is seen in the Narrative Effects section of this site : http://write.flossmanuals.net/video-edi ... o-effects/

Specifically, I'd like to have a rectangle that has the normal brightness of the video but the rest of the video is much darker. I thought there might be a fade region or some other effect but I cannot find it. Can anyone help?
