dual screen

Thu Sep 14, 2017 5:31 pm
Hello,
I've searched for it, but can not find it.
How do I set up Kdenlive over two screens?
I want the project monitor on the second screen.
I use Kdenlive Versie 17.04.3 on Linux Mint.

PC Intel i7-6700, Nvidea Geoforce GT730 4 gb, 16 GB RAM, Asus B250M motherbord. Linux Mint 18.2 Cinnamon-64 bit.

It's actually very easy to do. You simply drag the Project Monitor to the other screen, then you can resize it by dragging the edges.

I use the same setup with a different Linux version.

Hi,
Thanks for the answer, but the only thing I can move around is the "Project Storage" window.
How can I set Kdenlive so that I can move around the different windows of it?

I don't know what happened, but suddenly I can drag and drop aswell the clipmonitor aswell the project monitor!
When I asked the question, the clip- and projectmonitor were in one window. I only could switch between them by a tab.

This afternoon, when I started Kdenlive again, they wee separated in different windows. And now I could drag and drop them! Perhaps there is a link with the choosen theme?

Hi,

Hijacking this thread, because the author has the same problem, for him it solved itself by luck (?). For me it still doesn't work:

i'm not able to move the clip or the project viewer to another monitor. I can't even separate them from the main-program window.

I am running kdenlive on Linux Mint.

Do i need to activate something in the settings?
Do i need to choose another theme?

Please help. It's unfuriating to not find something simple as that :D
