KDENLIVE: Highly unstable with MLT

Fri Sep 15, 2017 4:02 am
I have been having problems with MLT on kdenlive. It crashes and doesnt render properly, timeline rendering fails, etc. It seems as if kdenlive mlt cannot acess opencv libaries, making kdenlive(in general) highly unstable: https://hastebin.com/enuxajelog.go

Hello,
How did you install Kdenlive & MLT (which distro, packages source)?
The opencv loading failure just leaves you without these effects (motion tracking etc).
The real crash comes from Movit, the GPU effects library.
In kdenlive preferences, either:
- disable GPU processing
- reduce MLT processing threads down to 1
the combination of the 2 is indeed crashy, but with safe settings your normally have a stable basis.
Good luck!

Ok I compiled kdenlive from source, as well as mlt, and movit. I didnt disable gpu processing because I have a very powerful gpu and want to take some load off of the cpu(as well as having the benefit of gpu based effects).

EDIT: OK. it Looks like something was updated in the process and now im getting this error: https://hastebin.com/imiduyakip.go
